south of the livestock area.
1. All exhibitors are required to read and abide by the Rules on
pages 6-11.
2. 2007 M.D.A. Rules: All sheep moved within Michigan shall be
identified with official USDAscrapie program identification tags
or tattoos prior to movement off the farm. (See page 11 - State
of Michigan Rules.) Contact the United States of Agriculture
(USDA) at (517) 324-5290 for ear tags. Do not remove tags
prior to weigh-in or showing. It is illegal to remove official USDA
individual animal identification.
3. A Supreme Champion will be selected if there is a Grand
Champion and Reserve Champion judged in at least three breeds.
RULES FOR OPEN CLASS SHEEP
1. All sheep must be registered and will be required to show the
Certificate of Registry (with exception of Barbados which are
yet to have papers.)
2. An exhibitor may make no more than 2 entries in any one class.
3. All sheep shown in group classes must be shown in individual
classes.
4. Apen of four lambs is any combination of four lambs. Both sexes
represented.
5. Get of sire is four sheep sired by the same ram. Papers will be
checked.
6. A flock must is made up of one (1) Ram and two (2) Ewes.
7. Premier Shiawassee County Breeder will be open to any
exhibitor showing six sheepof one breed, all of his own breeding.
Competition will be among all breeds, not within each individual
breed.
8. Proper attire is required of all exhibitors (see General Livestock
Rules). No sandals, flip-flops, crocs, etc. will be allowed in the
show ring.
**Note : Any class in this department with an * in front of it requires
a class fee of $2.00. Please enclose the total with your entry form.
