SECTION 100 - DAIRY SHOWMANSHIP
1. Dairy showmanship will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
2. Youth Dairy exhibitors who show an animal in a youth breeding
class are eligible to enter Dairy Showmanship (except
Cloverbuds).
3. All Showmanship classes must be pre-entered to show.
4. Age of exhibitor is determined as of January 1 of current year.
5. Proper showmanship dress is - white shirts or blouses with
white slacks, pants, or skirts.
6. All exhibitors must fit and show their own exhibit.
Premiums for classes 315 - 345:
Trophy & 5 Ribbons each class

315. Dairy showman (Senior) Age 16 and over
325. Dairy showman (Intermediate) Age 14-15
335. Dairy showman (Junior) Age 11-13
345. Dairy showman (Novice) Age 9-10
CLOVERBUDS
- Ribbons to all participants. The Dairy Department
will work with Cloverbud entrants to provide the animal for this class
or Cloverbudsmay bring own animal to show in just this one class as
Cloverbuds are ineligible to show in other youth classes. They must
pay a stall fee if they bring their own animal. Cloverbuds handling
an animal must have a parent or guardian in attendance at all times.
Class
355. Cloverbud showman Age is 5-8 (must enter class by entry
deadline to show).

- 5 Ribbons
Rules
1. NO PRE-REGISTRATION ACCEPTED!!
2. Consists of Five (5) animals, two (2) must be heifers, no more
than two (2) animals from one exhibitor.
3. Small clubs will draw and be paired with other small clubs who
wish to enter this class.
4. Owners must be in the ring with their animals but do not have
to be at the halter.
5. Clubs cannot borrow animals from other clubs.
6. Only members of that club/clubs can be in the ring with the herd.
7. Individual ribbons will be awarded to all participants of the
winning club herd.

Animals, decorations, equipment, anddisplaysmust remain in place
as posted in the Dairy Barn. (See page 7 for release of exhibits rules.)
All livestock trailers left on the fairgrounds
must be parked in the designated area below the
hill, south of the livestock area.
DAIRY CATTLE EXHIBIT REGULATIONS
1. All exhibitors are required to read and abide by the Rules on
pages 6-11.
2. Dairy animals must be in possession of exhibitor on or before
May 1st of the current year.
3. All Dairy animals are required to have the mandatory RFID ear tags.
4. No animal will be eligible for a premium unless born prior to
May of the current year.
5. Exhibitors must know the actual date of birth of their animals.
6. No more than four (4) animals may be exhibited by each
exhibitor.
7. No more than two (2) entries in any one class; for double
entries, write class (2) times on entry form.
8. Proper attire is required of all exhibitors (see General Rules).
No sandals, flip-flops, crocs, etc. will be allowed in the show ring.
9. Fall Yearling Heifers in production will show with Junior 2 year
old class.
10. Animals entered in group classes must have been exhibited in
individual age classes (105-215).
11. The show order will follow the order below or as determined
by the Dairy Superintendents prior to the show.
12. An animal may be exhibited on only one breed.
13. No horns allowed on animals born before March 1 of current year.
NOTE: Any class in this department with an * in front of it requires
a class fee of $1.00. Please enclose the total with your entry form.
