1. One exhibit per group or individual.
2. All scarecrow exhibits must be between 4 & 5 feet tall and
between 2 & 3 feet wide.
3. Each exhibit must stand alone on its own base.
4. Exhibits may be animated.
5. Exhibits should contain and will be judged on the following:
20% Creativity; 20% Uniqueness; 20% Originality; 20%
Attractiveness; 20% Good use of material.
SECTION 20 – SCARECROWS
EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
Objective: Individuals or club members will design and implement
a plan for a unique scarecrow.
PREMIUMS for classes 10 - 20:
1st - $15.00;  2nd - $10.00; 3rd - $7.00;  4th -  $5.00;
PREMIUMS for class 30 - Ribbons
Participation ribbons to all
Age guidelines for Educational Projects are detailed on page 6.

1. Cloverbud Special is open to Youth 5-8 years of age.
2. Exhibit may be the choice of the exhibitor.
3. Cloverbuds may exhibit two non-livestock exhibits, to be
displayed in the Exhibit Building.
4.
**ATTENTION:
To enter two exhibits, write the entry twice (on
two lines) on the entry form.
5. Cloverbuds will receive a ribbon for each exhibit entered.
6. There will be no money premiums awarded in this department.
7. Exhibitors are encouraged to be present for the exhibit
interview on Saturday as projects are brought in.

1.    Follow theme - Promote Shiawassee County Fair.
2.    All exhibits must be done on  22" x 28" Poster Board.
3.    On back of Poster should be:  Name, Grade of school year just
completed, Address & Phone Number.
4.    Any medium may be used.
5.    Exhibit will be judged on the following items:
       A.  Use of Media/Neatness
       B.  Artistic Ability - Drawing, Shading, & Use of space
       C.  Originality/Creativity
SECTION 40 – POSTER CONTEST
EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
Objective: To develop creativity in the expression of the theme,
which is to promote the Shiawassee County Fair, through the use
of an artistic medium.
Age guidelines for Educational Projects are detailed on page 6.
PREMIUMS for Classes 10-50:
1st - $3.00;  2nd - $2.00;  3rd - $1.00

Sunday, August 5, Beginning at 2 pm
Open to any organized Youth Club, Group, or Individual
of Shiawassee County. Barrels must be standard metal 50
gallon size, top removed.  Entry is to be brought to the Exhibit
Building.  One barrel per Club, Group, or Individual. Inside of
barrels must be clean.
ALL BARRELS BECOME THE PROPERTY OF
THE FAIR GROUNDS ONCE THEY HAVE
BEEN JUDGED. BARRELS MUST BE LEFT FOR
USE BY THE FAIR GROUNDS.
Judging will be done on evaluation basis: 25% Uniqueness; 25%
Effort involved; 50% Workmanship.
SECTION 10 — LITTER BARREL DECORATING CONTEST
EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
Objective: Individuals or club members plan a relevant design and
implement it, through cooperation and teaming, on the barrel.
PREMIUMS for classes 10 - 20
1st - $15.00;  2nd - $10.00;  3rd - $7.00;  4th - $5.00;
