Open Class - No Weight Limit - ENTRY FEE - $5.00

Draft horses and teamsters are subject to drug
testing as specified in MI Dept. of Agriculture
Regulation 813 (revised 1/19/06). See
page
9
for details.

All Draft horses must show proof of negative Coggins test.
SECTIONS 20 and 30 - OBSTACLE COURSE COMPETITION
THURSDAY 1PM GRANDSTAND AREA
Open Class - ENTRY FEE - $5.00
An overall Horsemanship trophy will be awarded for the
Thursday 1pm performance.
SECTION 20 – DRIVING SKILLS COMPETITION
PREMIUMS: Trophy: 1st Place and 5 Ribbons
Premium monies will be evenly distributed among the entrants by
the Superintendent (approximately $15 per class).
RULES
1. Draft horse teams (2 horses) compete over a pre-determined,
timed obstacle course to demonstrate teamster control and
team attitude.
2. Judged on: a) Quality of completion of obstacles - 70%
b) Time - 30%
3. Teams must register in the Grandstand competition area by
11:00 am Thursday morning, the day of the event. The show
will begin at 1:00 pm.
Class *201. Draft Horse Driving Skills Competition
SECTION 30 – TEAM OBSTACLE COURSE CLASSES
PREMIUMS: Ribbons
Premium monies will be evenly distributed among the entrants by
the Superintendent (approximately $15 per class).
RULES
1. Draft horse teams (2 horses) will compete with a four-wheeled
wagon or a two-wheeled cart.
2. These are timed events - the lowest time wins. Five seconds
will be added for defaults at each obstacle.
3. The courses will consist of 5 to 8 obstacles and will be posted
prior to the event.
4. Teams must register in the Grandstand area by 11:00 am Thursday
the day of the event. The show will begin at 1:00 pm.

SECTIONS 60 - mini horse pulling
THURSDAY 7PM GRANDSTAND AREA
Open class - ENTRY FEE - $10.00
Premiums: Trophies - Horsemanship and 1st Place
Premium monies will be evenly distributed among the entrants by
the Mini Horse Pulling Association.
RULES
1. Stone boat rules apply.
2. Two classes: 34" Minis and 38" Minis
3. Teams must register in grandstand pulling area by 5:00 p.m.
on Thursday, the day of the pull.
4. All mini horses must show proof of negative Coggins test.
