The surrey
rides
have been a
beloved feature
of the Shiawassee
County Fair for
all of the years
at the Hibbard
Road Fairgrounds.
Roger Reed and
Jack Crambell
started the
tradition in 1988;
thanks to the
dedication of our
Draft Horse drivers
and enthusiasts,
the tradition continues. Ron Stites, Superintendent of the Draft Horses, has worked tirelessly to increase
their participation and to showcase these magnificent animals.

Take advantage of the
Free Surrey Rides everyday!
Horse drawn wagons will transport
visitors around the Fairgrounds free of charge
every day during Fair Week. Board the wagons at the
front parking lot B or various places along the surrey route.
