SECTION 90 — YOUTH CREATIVE WRITING
EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
Objective: Gain skills in personal expression and communication
by writing and illustrating.
1. Educational project age is detailed on page 6.
2. All written work must be original and have been completed
in the past year.
3. All exhibits must be in a 2 pocket folder.
4. All exhibits must be clean of any markings from teacher.
5. Only one entry in any one class.

DEPARTMENT 62 – YOUTH FINE Arts
1. All articles exhibited in this departmentmust havebeen finished
during the past year and be the original work of the exhibitor;
each project should begin with blank paper or canvas. Pre-
stamped and paint by number pictures will not be allowed.
(Example: black velvet pictures from the store.)
2. If you are working from a photo (that is not protected by a
copyright - see
"Please Note"
below), that photo must be
included with your exhibit.
3. Artwork must be mounted or framed. Paintings and drawings
must have the wire or hanger firmly attached; do not use tape.
4. Only one entry in any one class will be accepted.
5. All exhibits must have a label with name and age of exhibitor
(see Youth Exhibitor age requirements, page 6).
6. Maximum size of exhibit to be 2' x 4'.
7. Collages can be up to poster size.
PLEASE NOTE:
1) Judges will be present on Saturday morning to judge the Art
exhibits as they arrive. The judges will discuss each project
and talk about composition with the youth exhibitor to provide
an educational art experience.
2) Each exhibit must be ORIGINAL work. Definition: Original art
is drawn from your personal experience, from a photograph
that you have taken, or from a photo that is not protected
by a copyright. (Unacceptable: Artwork that copies a photo
protected by a copyright - examples include photos taken by a
professional studio, cartoons suchasMickeyMouse,magazine
photos, pictures from a color book - all of these are protected
by a copyright and may not be copied.) If you choose to work
from a photo that is not protected by a copyright, that photo
must be included with your exhibit.
